Bad Tölz is situated on the northern outskirts of the Alps in a beautiful valley of the Isar river. The region offers a variety of excursions and hiking destinations.

Its close proximity to the Alps guarantees a long, intense winter. The mountains are usually covered with snow from the end of November through to the middle of April. From mid-December until the end of March, winter sports are regularly possible. During this period, winter sports are also possible in the valley.
